S355 steel plate is a high-strength low-alloy European standard structural steel covering four of the six categories within the EN 10025: 2004standard. With minimum yield of 50 ksi, it meets requirements in chemistry and physical properties similar to ASTM A572 / 709.

Welding:
This steel can be welded relatively easily to other weldable steels, a process enabled by its high tensile strength and lower carbon content.
Forming:
This grade offers quite good cold forming capability but isn''t well suited to hardening, aside from limited heat treatment processes.
If heat treatment is undertaken, factors such as furnace type, component dimensions, rate of heating and cooling should all be taken into consideration.

A Structural Steel plate is a plate produced from Steel, Stainless Steel, Carbon Steel, etc. while Manganese, Alloy and Nickel can be added to them to improve their total vigour. These plates, commonly known as S690QL and S690QL1, are used as materials for constructing buildings and everyday objects.
S690 QL is a high yield structural steel grade produced in compliance with EN 10025:6:2004. The material is heat treated using the quench and temper process and has good bending and welding properties. Due to the materials high strength nature, using S690QL will leaner designed structures with increased payload capacity and energy efficiency. S690QL plate is an excellent material. It is of high and consistant quality through out. It''s flatness is good, and so is the surface finish. And it is also easy to machine. Neither welding nor blending ever gives any problem. S690QL is the best structural steel for larger trailers.

S1100QL & S1300QL are high yield steel with a minimum strength of 1100&1300 MPa respectively. S1100QL according to EN10025-6 is a quenched and tempered steel and is relatively easy to bend and weld. It is a fully killed steel with a fine grain structure where all the nitrogen is bounded by binding agents. Both can be classed as “Ultra High Yield Structural Steel”. S355J2+N is a most common high strength steel used in construction. It is a non alloy low carbon mild steel with EN 10025 specification. Being an unalloyed carbon mild steel it is supplied to customers in hot rolled condition. A514 is used where a weldable, machinable, very high strength steel is required to save weight or meet ultimate strength requirements.
ASTM A514 steel is a quenched and tempered alloy steel used in applications that require a particularly high yield strength. A514 has a minimum yield strength of 100 ksi (690 MPa).
Grades B, S and E are by far the most common, however, we have other grades available. Each grade is limited to a range of thicknesses. All grades have the similar mechanical properties, but vary in chemical makeup and thickness.
Compliant with the ASTM standards, these High Strength Alloy (HSA) steel plates stand for:

A514 steel can be cut with a variety of methods and can be machined using conventional equipment and carbide tools. ASTM A514 steel has excellent weldability.
A514 steel is commonly used in heavy equipment parts that require a higher strength at a reduced weight, such as crane booms, mining equipment, hauling equipment, and lifting equipment.
A514 steel is particularly well suited for wear resistant steel plates used for large tooling, digging, clearing, and scraping. Examples include scraper bars for coal mining conveyors and conveyor flights; dirt, ground and rock scraper blades and bucket scrapers for large mining and farm implements, and for the many wear plates, screen plates, and wear bars that are required to take the abuse that large mining equipment and construction equipment demands.

S235 structural steel plate meets European structural steel standard EN 10025: 2004.
